Administration is affiliated to Pondicherry Central University
recognized by NCTE and UGC presently runs four different courses
of Teacher Education for the benefit of the islanders. It is
governed by the affiliation laws of the University and
recognition norms of NCTE.
The National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) has revised its Regulations in the year 2014 and two years B.Ed. degree programme has been introduced as per the revised norms. Accordingly, revised regulations 2014 has come into effect in the College from the academic session 2015-16. In TGCE, we look at Education differently. For us, Education does not lie in the quantification of knowledge. But it lies in the quality of knowledge that helps to form the character of the trainees, transforming them as Competent, Committed, Compassionate and Dedicated teachers who can serve the society. As this is a Teacher Training Institute we give moral values to the trainees. It provides a platform for the trainees to pursue their further studies through different modes of educational programmes and practice. OUR
